PHOENIX - iSportsWire -- Arizona's thriving Indie Film community has been blooming for some years now and one of its residents has hit the networks with his new Independent Feature Film. Writer and Director Julian Vaughan Hampton released the action-drama Fighting Olympus after signing a distribution deal with Indie Rights. Prior to distribution, the film had a successful award-winning festival run. Fighting Olympus stars Leslie A. Jones, Devinair Mathis, Corey Roberts, Rich Sands, Caroline Hallum, Haley Jackson, Benjamin Sadipe and Twinkle Kaur.
Fighting Olympus tells the story of retired cop Rucker Parks (Leslie A. Jones) that learns his brother Biddle Parks (Devinair Mathis) has been captured by a secret society. He must infiltrate the cult to expose their crimes and rescue his brother. In this intense action-crime drama, a man must choose between family and the call of duty.

Director Julian Vaughan Hampton said, "After moving from Los Angeles, I was impressed to see how strong the independent film community is in Arizona. There's so much talent and creativity and there's an enthusiastic vibe to the community. With its cinematic locations and film-friendly environment, Arizona became the perfect place to film and to call home."
In addition to releasing Fighting Olympus, the director's recently produced Arizona-based thriller Blacked Box is also having a successful festival run. He plans to release more films shot in Arizona in the near future.
