THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - iSportsWire -- California Lutheran University scholar-athlete Camden Hyde been named to the Allstate NACDA Good Works Team (Winter). The junior men's basketball player is being honored by the Allstate National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA ) for his leadership in community service, academics and athletics. Annually, 60 student-athletes throughout the country are recognized for the fall, winter and spring seasons.
"I am honored to be recognized for this team and passionate about the work I do on campus and in our community," Hyde said. "My goal has always been to love others in such a way that brings about positive change. A scholar-athlete with a 3.95 GPA, he is well-known as a beacon of kindness. Hyde founded The Alternative, a student organization that offers a positive, community‑focused "alternative" to the typical college social scene through Bible studies, worship nights and service projects.
