Jeremy Allen, Alex Tressler, and John Newman Join Growing Leadership Team Dedicated to Building a Safer, Smarter, and Stronger Hobby
WENTZVILLE, Mo. - iSportsWire -- The Certified Trading Card Association (CTCA) is proud to announce the appointment of three distinguished leaders to its Advisory Board: Jeremy Allen, Chief Collectibles Officer at Oh YAAS and former Associate Director of Pop Culture at Heritage Auctions; Alex Tressler, retired U.S. Army First Sergeant, social media creator behind ArmyATC22, and National Sports Collectors Convention Social Correspondent; and John Newman, host of the Sports Card Nation Podcast and one of the hobby's most respected voices.
The additions represent another major step forward in CTCA's mission to unite the trading card industry through collaboration, transparency, education, and trust. Each new advisor brings a unique perspective and decades of combined experience spanning collecting, content creation, media, military leadership, auctions, manufacturing, and community engagement.

"I'm excited to get involved with CTCA because the trading card industry needs a more unified voice around trust, transparency, education, and long-term collector confidence," said Allen. "Having worked across collecting, auctions, pop culture, trading cards, and now the manufacturer side, I believe CTCA has an opportunity to help strengthen the hobby in a way that benefits collectors, shops, breakers, manufacturers, platforms, and the broader industry."
Alex Tressler, better known throughout the hobby as ArmyATC22, has built one of the industry's most recognizable social media brands while serving as a trusted voice for collectors. His background as a retired Army First Sergeant and National Sports Collectors Convention Social Correspondent brings leadership, integrity, and community engagement to the Advisory Board.
"The CTCA is everything I want to see within this hobby space," said Tressler. "With the help of some other incredible individuals that are a part of the cause, I hope to bring my expertise for a safer, stronger, and smarter hobby."
John Newman, host of the Sports Card Nation Podcast, has spent years educating collectors, interviewing industry leaders, and advocating for the growth of the hobby through thoughtful conversation and community involvement.
"I'm excited to be part of CTCA because as a long-time hobbyist I care about the hobby, and I also care about the hobby it can be for others and the future hobbyists coming behind us," said Newman.

"We continue to assemble an Advisory Board that reflects the many voices and perspectives within our industry," said Nick Jarman, Founder and CEO of CTCA. "Jeremy, Alex, and John each bring tremendous credibility, passion, and expertise to our mission. Their willingness to volunteer their time and help shape the future of the hobby speaks volumes about where CTCA is headed and the momentum we are building together."
Since its founding, CTCA has worked to provide the trading card industry with much-needed infrastructure by promoting best practices, fostering collaboration among stakeholders, and developing initiatives focused on collector protection, education, and long-term sustainability.
As the organization continues to grow, the Advisory Board will play an increasingly important role in helping guide strategic initiatives, strengthening industry relationships, and ensuring collectors have a voice in shaping the future of the hobby.
