New interactive Gear Builder helps outdoor enthusiasts create complete gear kits based on their activity, preferences, existing equipment and budget.
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - iSportsWire -- Dine Wild Inc announced the launch of the Hunter's Outpost Gear Builder, a free interactive tool designed to simplify the process of choosing gear for hunting, fishing and camping adventures.
The Gear Builder asks users a series of questions about their activity, how they plan to hunt, fish or camp, equipment they already own and how much they want to spend. It then creates a personalized gear kit using real products available from outdoor retailers.
Instead of searching through thousands of individual products and trying to determine what works together, users can start with a complete recommended setup and customize it from there.
"Outdoor gear shopping can become overwhelming very quickly, especially when someone is preparing for a new type of hunt or fishing trip," said Marty Cutler, founder of DineWild. "We wanted to build something that starts with the adventure rather than the product catalog. Tell us what you're doing, what you already have and what you want to spend, and Hunter's Outpost helps build the kit."

Built Around the Adventure — and the Budget
The Hunter's Outpost Gear Builder currently supports a growing range of outdoor activities, including:
Users can set a budget, identify equipment they already own, generate a recommended kit, swap individual recommendations and regenerate their setup as their needs change.
The system is designed to consider more than product popularity. Recommendations are matched to the type of activity and configuration selected by the user, helping narrow a large outdoor product catalog into a more manageable set of relevant choices.
From Gear Discovery to Shopping
The Gear Builder is integrated directly with the Hunter's Outpost Marketplace, DineWild's growing outdoor product discovery platform.

Once a kit has been generated, shoppers can review individual products and follow links to participating outdoor retailers to complete purchases. DineWild may earn an affiliate commission when qualifying purchases are made through participating retailer links, at no additional cost to the shopper.
The approach gives retail partners another way to reach consumers beyond conventional product listings. Products can appear within personalized kits when they match the needs of a particular hunt, fishing activity or camping setup.
The Hunter's Outpost Gear Builder is available now and is free to use with no account required.
