EWING, N.J. - iSportsWire -- With a year like 2020, it can oftentimes become more challenging to remain positive. Indoor football player, Joshua Hughes, has been doing his best to keep his head up and remember what is most important in life, despite the struggles created for his career by Covid.
This year Hughes is more grateful for the health of his friends and family than ever before. Health is something that is taken for granted and now Hughes realizes how thankful he is to have his friends and family healthy for this holiday season. Hughes's journey of becoming a professional football player has not necessarily been easy, so the support of his friends and family was needed more than ever. Hughes is so thankful for the people who have helped him be where he is today, he understands that not many people get the support he has received. Hughes tries to show his friends and family how thankful he is for them by doing simple gestures to make them feel special.
"I try to set an example to those around me to be thankful by showing them how thankful I am for having them in my life," said Hughes. "A simple gesture can make someone's day and can be a memory they cherish for life."

Hughes is so excited to spend this Thanksgiving with his family. He is ready to continue his traditions of having a huge meal with the family, then going Christmas tree shopping for the upcoming Christmas holiday. He normally has Thanksgiving with his extended family, but like many others this year, Hughes will be spending Thanksgiving with his immediate family. Hughes will have everything on the menu he can fit on his plate this Thanksgiving. Especially his favorite dessert, pumpkin pie with ice cream on top.
Hughes will of course, be watching the Thanksgiving football games and he has predictions of his own. Hughes believes the Detroit Lions will beat the Houston Texans, the Dallas Cowboys will lose to The Washington Football Team and the Pittsburgh Steelers will beat the Baltimore Ravens.
All predictions aside, one thing that is for certain is that Hughes will be basking in gratitude as he spends the holiday season with those that mean the most.
