LAS VEGAS - iSportsWire -- Avery Burton Foundation (ABF) board member Christina Aldan co-facilitated an Emotional Resilience and Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) framework webinar for the NFL's Las Vegas Raiders organization last week. ABF founder, Reggie Burton, originated the conversation which ultimately led to the invitation to speak to the Raiders organization. The webinar was taught May 30th. Participants continued the discussion afterward with a Q&A session, learning tips for cultivating emotional resilience as well as the basic MHFA framework for helping someone who may be experiencing a mental health crisis.

ABF is a non-profit dedicated to reducing the stigma around mental health and providing culturally-competent resources to those who need it most. They do this by offering Mental Health First Aid certifications for adults and youth, giving away scholarships to high school seniors, and participating in educational community events. Ms. Aldan is a speaker, trainer, and consultant for Arana Software. She sits on the board of directors for ABF.
