CEDAR GROVE, N.J. - iSportsWire -- When Lowe Roofing/Slate Roof Professionals owner Terry Lowe learned the East Orange Campus Jaguars baseball team did not have a team sponsor, he stepped up. Lowe, a long-time sports fan, had sponsored Essex County, NJ, teams in the past. Providing the Jaguars with on-field signage enabled Lowe to get involved with the local sports community once again.

In researching the team, Lowe learned the East Orange Campus team has no Little League baseball team to act as a source of talent. Coach David Derco and his staff often start each season with players who are new to the game of baseball, or have very little playing experience. This, said Lowe, makes the team winning SEC Independence and Freedom Division Champions for four years, most recently in 2022, a significant accomplishment.

Lowe visited the team midway through the season to meet the players and coaches before practice. "I was impressed with the spirit and work ethic of the Jaguars. These guys work hard and deserve to have a team sponsor," Lowe said.
