OKLAHOMA CITY - iSportsWire -- Mustang Elite Track Club delivered one of the most historic performances in program history at the 2026 OCCTCA Indoor State Championship on February 21, highlighted by a school record, multiple personal bests, and three athletes finishing inside the top seven in the state in the 60-meter hurdles.

• Jonathan McCorvey (Mustang) – 2nd Place – 8.15 (NEW PR & Indoor School Record)
• Kingsley Njifunuh (Mustang) – 4th Place – 8.43

McCorvey's 8.15 shattered the previous Mustang High School indoor record of 8.25 set in 2024 by Aidan Edwards. On the biggest stage of the indoor season, he not only secured a runner-up finish — he rewrote the school record books.

Kitchen also delivered a breakthrough performance, clocking 8.62 to earn a new personal best in championship conditions, proving the depth of Mustang Elite's hurdle squad.
