Gotham Baseball today announced the relaunch of the 'Gotham Baseball LIVE' podcast.
LYNBROOK, N.Y. - iSportsWire -- Gotham Baseball, the media platform dedicated to the past, present, and future of New York baseball, founded in 2005, is pleased to announce the relaunch of its long-running podcast, "Gotham Baseball LIVE."
From its inception, Gotham Baseball has consistently endeavored to integrate its traditional media roots with emerging new media platforms, a commitment that began with its coverage of the 2005 Baseball Winter Meetings in Dallas, TX, featuring daily podcasts broadcast directly from the venue.
"Gotham Baseball Live" is the longest-running podcast of its kind, and though it has had different co-hosts over the years, Mark Healey, the Executive Editor and Founder of Gotham Baseball, has remained the constant. He says the reason for the relaunch is the addition of long-time radio and sports personality Peter Schwartz, who has signed on as the new co-host.

"I've been listening to Peter Schwartz for many years," said Healey. "He's the consummate professional and has a vast knowledge of the New York Yankees organization and its history. It is both a pleasure and a privilege to have him join the Gotham Baseball family."
Peter Schwartz is currently an on-air personality at WFAN and also hosts his own podcast, "SportsBash," twice a week on YouTube and Facebook. Since beginning his career with SportsPhone in 1989, Peter has covered both the Yankees and Mets for multiple outlets over the years and has covered five World Series, six League Championship Series, and the 2013 MLB All-Star Game. He is an avid follower of Minor League Baseball and is a Public Address Announcer for the Long Island Ducks of the Atlantic League.
"I am thrilled to be joining the Gotham Baseball family," said Schwartz. "As a lifelong baseball fan and someone who has covered the sport for many years, I'm looking forward to sharing my thoughts and stories on the show. I'm excited to be working with Mark, who I have so much respect for, for the work he has done covering baseball in his career."
