San Antonio to host both Men and Women's 2025 HBCU All Star Games
ATLANTA - iSportsWire -- Tickets are now on sale for the Fourth Annual Men's HBCU All-Star Game and first ever Women's HBCU All-Star Game to be held Sunday, April 6, 2025, at the historic Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio, Texas. The back to back HBCU All-Star Games will be an elite college basketball showcase and doubleheader featuring the nation's most dynamic and talented men and women basketball players from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Participating athletes will represent all four historically Black athletic conferences, the MEAC, SWAC, SIAC, and CIAA, in addition to student-athletes from Tennessee State University, Hampton University, and North Carolina A&T State University. This will be a truly defining and historic moment in sports. HBCU All Stars LLC is hosting the first ever women's HBCU All-Star Game and making sure they receive visibility, equality, national and global coverage on the court that afternoon. "This is more than your typical doubleheader basketball games, it is an HBCU experience of a lifetime!" Says Travis L. Williams, HBCU All-Stars, LLC Founder and CEO.

HBCU All-Stars LLC will stage the HBCU All-Star Game Experience, a week-long festival that will kick off the week on Wednesday, April 2 and conclude the following Tuesday after the Championship game April 8, 2025. When asked about the impact that the HBCU All Star Games will have on San Antonio, Bexar County Commissioner Tommy Calvert, Jr had this to say, "With all the things going on in the world, this is a much needed boost in our community."
This will be an exciting HBCU All-Star Game experience weekend for the San Antonio community and fans can expect to see HBCU bands, cheerleaders, dance team, Greeks, and Divine Nine showcasing performances that are renowned for their celebration of Black History, excellence, and cultural experiences. Its richness, high energy, and showmanship will elevate the HBCU All-Star Championship Game experience for the players and basketball fans not just in San Antonio, but across the globe.
HBCU All-Stars give back to the San Antonio community through numerous ancillary events, community outreach initiatives and engagement opportunities that surround the HBCU All-Star Games. In addition to the college admissions and scholarship fair, there will be pro day combines, scholarships awards, a welcome reception, an awards ceremony, a social justice and a civil rights panel discussion along with so much more.
